Have you tried Staysure and they often have online deals of 20% off if you book online
We used AllClear travel insurance this year and they had 20% off at the time. A lot depends on if you have any pre-existing ailments as we do. Many seem to have gone up as have most things.

I do have pre-existing condition, 2 stents fitted 16 years ago after heart attack, all ok since then.
I'll have a search round for discount codes.
We are 70 and will be going to Japan for three weeks at the end of this year. We will get insured with EuropAssistance.
Have a look at Martin Lewis's site. Good section on insurance.
Staysure are good, also if you have a Nationwide Account you might be able to get ‘free’ ish insurance with them.

After 70 the Nationwide insurance included in the Flex Plus account makes a charge dependent on health factors and so on.

I have found one company thats quoted me £547 for a multi-trip policy, the problem is that its limited to 35 days per trip and in February next year I have booked to stay in Thailand for 44 days, these companies seem to get you by the short and curlies!
