From the reviews, some people buy them for environmental reasons thinking they are a 'green' alternative.

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER, a doctor. Dispose of contents/container to hazardous or special waste collection point, in accordance with local, regional, national and/or international regulation. Contains: sodium dodecyl sulphate"
No better or worse than most laundry detergents.
