Yes... only for those who can't do these online things themselves properly., most customers of ryanair probably know why there getting a cheap er flight and know how to work round it

I’m quite adept online , however when booking with RA for a next years holiday with friends ( girls) one of them uses a middle name which is Ann, I put the booking through then she told me it was her middle name which I knew then it wouldn’t match what’s on her passport, you’re given 24 hours to rectify a mistake , we were in that 24 window but…..they only allow for three letters free, the name change had 6, the charge was £115 , I asked could I pay in € as it’s a Euro currency only onboard ,No , they wanted GBPs !!

I had a very similar hiccup this summer coming back from Lanzarote, Bobbisox.

Luckily I was flying with Jet2 and a new boarding pass was issued instantly and free.

Oddly enough though the wrong details on my outgoing card got me through at Edinburgh no problem.
I'm confused - Ryanair say they were charged because they did not book in online and did it at the airport (which they always charge for). That is not the same as not printing off the correct ticket.
Lankeela you have the choice of booking in online , this couple printed the return tickets off by mistake so the outgoing ones hade to be printed at the airport, although why of how that would cost £55 pp is outrageous
Douglas the difference next year between Jet2 and RA for us was almost £150 pp , I’ve flown with them before and haven’t any a problem till this last one ,Jet2 ( as most airlines) have put their prices up massively
The only reason they don't charge you for using the toilet on board is because they can't find a way to do it
Hopkirk, it has been suggested.
Deal with these cheapo airlines, expect to get stung at every half opportunity. This sort of rip off is known to be their normal behaviour.
I flew Ryanair from Stansted to Gdansk. We paid to pre-book our seats both ways at a cost of around £70 in total. Going out we booked EL seats at the front of the plane - me by the window and OH in the middle. When we boarded the plane my heart literally sank when I saw the person in the aisle seat - I am not kidding when I say he was Harvey Price's (son of Katie) Doppleganger. He was spilling over the edges of his narrow seat. My poor husband could not move his shoulders for the entire flight. Prior to take-off Harvey began saying the Lord's Prayer, asking for forgiveness for all his sins and making the sign of the cross over and over. To say we were uncomfortable is an understatement but what were RA doing letting someone who obvious physical and mental problems occupy an EL seat? I thought you had to be at least able-bodied to sit in them?

Coming back the flight was two-thirds empty and parties travelling together were seated all over the place - no doubt the price you pay when you don't cough up to pre-book your seats.

They're a *** joke. To Stansted and to RA I will say NEVER again.

I think you have to be able bodied to sit by emergency exits.
