Hi, about an hour ago i found an injured bird ( i think pigeon ) in my garden, there are cats about so i think a cat had got to it. It is still alive but at the time could'nt move, so i put it on a piece of blanket in a box , as i didnt want any more cats to get at it i have brought it inside where it is safe. It seems to have made itself more comfortable but hasnt tried to fly yet. What should i do now ? will it heal itself ? and what about tonight, any help anyone can give me i would be extremly grateful

Call the RSPCA or PDSA - they all have an emergency number.Really all you can do is keep it as quiet and warm as possible.Seems like you have done very well so far.If you have a shed or garage it might be better for the bird - otherwise leave it until the animal people arrive.
Hope this has been some help.
