A fantastic talented player of that there is no doubt. but if he is proven guilty then I'd prefer if he doesn't pull on a United shirt.
For a slightly different case, and one involving a footballer with a much lower profile or financial value, you could read up on the case of David Goodwillie.

But numerous other reports.
//NJ, you're arguing about the difference between "not guilty" and "innocent" but the legislation cleary states someone is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty.//

No I'm not, corby.

I'm not arguing about the legal presumption of innocence at all. I accept that in legal proceedings the accused is considered innocent until a court determines otherwise. I've never said any different.

However, that presumption only applies to legal proceedings. So let's try another question: do you consider that only those convicted by a court can be considered guilty of any wrongdoing? By "guilty" I don't mean "found guilty", I mean actually responsible for the commission of a crime.
Why all the semantics?

Hic... hic.... :-)
