It is fine having personal views, but if you represent an organisation, you must adhere to that organisations agreed policies. Presumably the Greens worked out its position on trans gender and at some point voted to adopt that as a policy for the Party. If an individual finds himself at odds with the party he represents, he should either toe the party line for unity sake, or join another group.
The Conservative Party was a Pro Europe Party but was full of skeptics who caused havoc for 50 years.
