I fear that any trade deal will require the UK to admit more 'students' holding or wishing to study for Diplomas in Business Management which usually means them coming to serve in corner shops or ethnic restaurants and bringing their families afterwards.
I see an OP with a legitimate concern since it does happen, an answer wanting our own feckless to have jobs first (and save the tax payers money) and someone in support of Indians in Shops and restaurants.
// India is demanding a more generous supply of visas allowing its nurses to work in the UK as the price of a free trade deal.
It is also seeking greater access for jobs in the IT and financial consultancy industries, the Telegraph reported. The UK is trying to resist the demands with immigration a major issue ahead of the next election. //
Workers in Cornershops and restaurant staff are usually family members of the owners.
I'm not sure which news story you're talking about but you should be aware that foreign 'students' ( mostly Chinese at the moment but we'll take them from anywhere as long as they can pat) is what's keeping alot of our universities solvent.
