The usual suspects on here should look on the bright side. That's another Remainer in Sunak's cabinet lined up to take us back into the EU.

Smart motorways were the brainchild of the Highways Agency. And began even before the Tories were in power: several transport ministers had been in power before Shapps was er popped into the post in 2019, so it seems a bit unfair to blame him for that one.
