How old should a baby be to sit in a child seat on a bicycle? Seats seem to state max weight in their instructions but not minimum.

We used to have one for our daughter before she got too big and we've now got a trailer to attach to the bike. Some manufacturers state they must be at least 12 months old, but I think the general rule is that as long as they can sit unsupported and hold their head steady, it should be ok. I wouldn't try it before 9 months though, even if they can sit ok.
