If all he could manage to do was plant fake bombs was he a real danger?

And if he is trying to leave the country isn't that a good thing? One less to keep in our prison system and one at least crossing the channel in the right direction.

Very bad idea for him to be on the loose: if he leaves the country it doesn't make the UK safer necessarily. Arguably less safe. Who knows.
That's good Maths. 1 Million migrants coming in and just a single one going out ..... The Cons are taking action at last..... Alleluia....
The Con certainly did take action. He escaped. :-(
15,24 LOL.

Yes, but, he was still a prisoner, a felon who had broken the law, and he should have been made to abide by the court's terms. Planting fake bombs is not a fun, party-time thing to do. If he is allowed to remain free, who knows what else he may get up to?
This clinging on to the underside of a vehicle has been done before, an IRA man got out of the Maze doing this. Dont prisoners dig tunnels anymore?
The whole thing is a farce; straight out of most WW2 POW Hollywood films. Heads should roll.
"Yes, but, he was still a prisoner, a felon who had broken the law"

He is yet to be tried,

"Mr Khalife was being detained at the category B prison while awaiting trial over terror and Official Secrets Act charges, including allegations he planted fake bombs at an Army base."
Well, by escaping he does seem to have condemned himself to a 'guilty' verdict if he is recaptured.
