In a new survey of 2,200 UK adults, 44% said they would wash their towels after three months or more.

Three months or more?!!! Those towels must run to the washing machine and leap in with a sign of relief! Are people really that grimey?

yeah I said to one ( fren / relation)

it stinks of dog

dual use see
Arrrgh!!
Scumbags.
As drunk as I may appear at times,
my hygiene is still appropriate.
I get through a bath towel every 3-6 days.
Im a drunk, not a dirty scut .
Just done ours today after about 5/6 days (on a 60deg wash, incidentally).
Every Saturday. I wash all the towels and teacloths that have accumulated in the washing machine during the week. Biological powder and 60 degree wash.

I make a point of only using my bath towels when I'm clean, rather than rubbing myself down before I get under a shower, so I'm a little surprised that people suppose their towels are somehow filthy.
I have a face towel, a body towel and a bathsheet. He has a bath sheet and a hand sheet. A small hand towel hangs by my hand basin in my bathroom. His hand towel gets changed when it gets dirty., all go in a hot wash once a week, together with tea towels and flannels.

My son and wife do their own washing, Naomi.
A hand towel . not hand sheet. No other items are washed with towels in very hot water.
I don't wash my clothes with his clothes! His clothes get dirty because he enjoys doing dirty work like building, DIY and making compost etc etc.
