How Come Chav Gangs Aren’t A Thing Anymore?

So obviously this is a good thing but I’m just wondering what happened to make that change? I’m 25 years old and I remember when I was a kid in the 00s you’d often see a huge gang of teenagers all in tracksuits hanging out round parks and outside of a row of shops on a night, oh, and graffiti everywhere. I was thinking that I personally never see that anymore and very rarely see graffiti. What changed?

The gangs are still there, mainly in the cities, but also in the smaller towns - you only have to buy a local paper to read about the goings-on of such crowds of youths. Maybe not so much graffiti?

Hazlinny- I’ve always lived in a town but the last time I saw gangs of teens hanging out on a night in trackies and caps or hoods up was in the 00s. I literally never see it anymore. And when I say gangs I don’t mean like county lines gangs etc, I’m just talking about gangs of teens hanging out causing a nuisance

Nothing to quibble about - you don't see gangs of youths causing a nuisance - I don't 'cos I wouldn't venture down any street on my own at night but I hear about the pests and read about them. I think I live in a nice town but you must live more upmarket - maybe not!

You must keep up - they are called roadman these days and they are still groups of youths that hang around around the shops at night.

Graffiti is disappearing because councils and property owners use anti-graffiti treatments on their buildings and walls. It's more cost effective than constantly cleaning
