Scottish Field
More from Octobers issue: All are Scottish words, terms or slang and also could also be regional Scottish terms or variations only used in specific geographical areas. Due to difficulty and often many variations of spelling, some of my adjoining letters might be in error.
15d. Rowdy drinking (6) T????N (pretty sure of those letters. T from 14a Shoe tongue (3) BUT - and N from 25a Female shop owner (5,1,6) Jenny A Things).
20a. Without (3) E??
26d. In the sulks (10) G?UN?O?R?S (bearing in mind the Scottish word GRUND refers to the lowest part or bottom of anything, could be related to low mood). Toying with something like GRUNDOURUS but can't find reference to it or anything similar.
41d. Cough drily (8) C????H?E
47d. Take out hay from the base of a stack (4) P??? (I can only think of something like PECK). Format of grid does not allow any more letters from other clues.
48d. Take (along) (5) ??A?S
Any help appreciated!
