No wonder BIL and wife from Cornwall have suddenly arrived here in Surrey for a few days.  😎

We've had 24 hours of 47-50mph winds.  There are branches and twigs all over the garden.  I retrieved the BBQ cover from across the garden earlier.  The begonia tower is wrecked (it fell over taking out a rose bush as it went), all the pots are knocked over.  This will apparently calm down around 3ish to be replaced with heavy rain.  Oh joy.

Looks to be about starting here in Hove with strong winds and thundery showers and getting worse as the day goes on.  The mutt won't appreciate it, he's terrified of thunder.

Dreadful wind and rain earlier here in Cornwall.

Had to go out for Covid jab and got soaked.

Now it is really calm and bright. Probably still with you Pasta. Should clear soon though.
