Is It Causing Trouble Asking A Neighbour To Move Their Car?

A neighbour (who has multiple cars) has parked their car half way over my drive.  I think it might be visitors of theirs. If I need to get my car out, it'll mean having to drive on the kerb and pavement to get out and steer around their car. Would it seem not very kindly asking them to come out to move their car? Should I just let it go? I hate people who park over my drive like that, as I don't feel respected. Am I being petty?

Moorea, when you live in a terrace there will be a time when, your visitor or tradespeople have no choice but to block your neighbours' drives.  Give and take goes a long way

I don't agree with the request not to do it again.

The most rational and even-temprered people can get ludicrously territorial about their driveways, and even a polite request not to infringe in future can start a nasty war of attrition that can go on for years.

It's smart never to even dream of asking a neighbour not to do whatever he or she wants within the confines of their property, even if their action occasionally impacts on you and your property, it's simply not worth the risk of the grief you can call down on yourself, however much in the right you may be.

Do you have a dropped kerb to drive onto your drive?

I am assuming that your drive is your front garden if you are terraced?

I thought OP meant it was purely her drive.  I can't see where OP mentions terrace.  

Andy/ Not worth going into a war of words with you, been there before😆 I stated what I would do and do it I would.  Having said that, I would never even thinking of asking on Answerbank what I should say to a neighbour!

I have a similar problem as i live near a school.

I only ask the parent to move if i need to get out but i do find it disrespectful, i would never do that to someone else.
