Tired Out Now

Have just returned from hospital appointments x 2 this morning and among the post today there is another appointment with yet another hospital for next week. This means that OH is now registered with a total of 9 hospitals in the last 3 years and I calculated they cover about 1800 square miles. Oh well, it has to be done and we both realise that the attention being given is marvellous. It is just that we could both do with a bit of a break :)

is there anyway OH care could be consolidated to maybe a few hospitals ?

I know how you feel choux. Currently I am attending three hospitals on a regular basis. Awaiting an aortic valve replacement with Cardiology. Vascular dept for furred up artery in one leg Gastro/General Surgery for a stricture in my colon and a double bleed in one eye necessitating a visit to a stroke clinic and opthalmic hospital.

It severely restricts any social life or holidays etc but I still have a pulse so I should be grateful that the NHS cares about me and I actually get these appointments.Not a week. goes by without a DotPost from the NHS. I'll be glad when I'm firing on all cylinders again one way or the other. 😷👩‍🔧👨‍🏭

retro, you have my every sympathy and very best wishes x Without good health everything else becomes secondary and, at times, a bit of a struggle. Keeping a positive attitude is key, I feel, but I do have difficulty in getting OH to appreciate that. We have very different outlooks.

anne, I would worry about giving dear Red some of my bad habits ;) So many problems for OH - multi-factorial as one dr put it. We are trying to get various problems prioritised but one overtakes another in terms of urgent need.

Choux, you must be beat at this stage, it's a lot of coming and going. If ever you get respite, you can always come to me, it's great to be getting the care but I understand how you'd feel with constant appointments, when I was waiting to be seen, I thought the letter for appointment would never come through, then it got to stage, I almost banned the postie from our street. Retro I hope your sorted soon.
