Old Traveller's Cheques - Valid?
Hi, I've just found two $100 traveller's cheques in my sister's belongings. Problem is that they were issued to my brother-in- law who passed away in 2010. One is a Bank of Scotland, the other a Thomas Cook. (Bank of Scot were not very helpful when I went into branch saying they don't deal with dollar transactions?) To complicate matters, my sister now has Alzheimer's disease (no power of attorney) but she understands what they are when shown the cheques, although has no memory of them. Seems such a shame to chuck $200 away.
