I think the street is Lombard Street, but I am having problems with the name of the gate. Is it Bishopsgate?

The Old Curiosity Shop seems to have been in Portsmouth Street , just south of Lincolns Inns Fields in Holborn WC2, nowhere near Bishopsgate or Aldgate (where St Botolphs church is located).

I have followed the earlier posts on AB but this Old Curiosity shop business is confusing the issue for me.

Thanks in advance

I am going for Bishopsgate purely by the dates mentioned.
Other gates were also demolished in 1760 but Bishopsgate seems to have been rebuilt several times and seems to be in the right area.
John Keats (the poet mentioned at the end) was baptised in St Botolph's, Bishopsgate, so I'm going for that gate.
I thought the Old Curiosity Shop clue was Portugal Street, which is nowhere near Bishopsgate, and I can't find any connection with a crossroads, but still think Bishopsgate is the answer. Here's hoping!

Thank you all. I think I'll go for Bishopsgate too.
