I took my car into a garage for an MOT and because I am a middle aged lady with arthritis I waited while it was done. The boss was unaware I was in the waiting room and when he brought my car out from the back much to my horror deliberately pranged it up against another car. He and his colleague burst into laughter. I have never been treated with so much contempt. He then told me it would cost £730 to pass it. I took it somewhere else and now have a new MOT for the cost of £310. Who do I complain to about the disgusting behaviour of this garage ans what can I do to get them regretting the day they didi it. Thanks

They will sometimes put a test car in to see if the garage are adding unnecessary work to bump up the bill We had a problem after Renault Birmingham told us we needed a new engine and automatic gearbox on a Velsatis £20,000 approx on a vehicle that cost £5,000. A second garage diagnosed a simple problem related to the air con fixed for under £100. Just because my then partner looked like a sweet grey haired old lady they tried it on. Renault head office backed their own mechanics... Until trading standards sent in a car ( appropriately selected driver apparently)
