I'd leave out the 'as short' bit at the end .... but maybe if i was going in for end of life care maybe i'd welcome the short bit

Perhaps they're talking about people who are sent home for their final few days/weeks.   Could have been worded more thoughtfully though.  It actually made me laugh.  I recall sending a text to someone who was being sent home from hospital on end of life care.  I wrote 'Hope you're home soon' - but predictive text changed that to 'Hope you're dead soon'.  So pleased I noticed before I pressed 'send'.  Oops!  :o)

Actually seems fine to me. Life is great; death, whatever it turns out to be, is inevitable; but stuck there with little quality of life just waiting... yeah a few doses of morphine should help with that.
