it means you have to turn the packet over to read it.  OK for fish fingers, but not for potato dauphinoise you are trying to work out if you have time to cook

If in doubt, 180 for 25mins. See what it looks like.

I know!!! Many times I have to stand with my arms aloft trying to read the cooking instructions.

Good arm exercises - goodbye 'granny wings'!

I'm confused!

I can't recall ever having bought potato dauphinoise in my life but a quick look at what's available from supermarkets suggests that most comes in packaging with an outer cardboard sleeve:

Surely you can simply remove the sleeve and then turn it over to read the instructions, can't you?

Not all of them, buen, some are adhesive.

also i put some breaded chicken in the oven earler, and had to turn the packet over to read the instructions = breadcrumbs on feet

Maybe because you tend to open the packet at the top and you would destroy the instructions, or the top section is more important for promoting the product. 21.03 Glasses? or in need of stronger ones?

With all the nutritional information that must go on the front of the packaging, the best before and use by dates, there is not much room left for cooking instructions.

If you prefer you can usually find them online.   I have had to resort to that when the instructions were on the sticky side of the label.

If in doubt, 180 for 25mins. See what it looks like.

Unless it's boil in the bag or instant mashed potato
