Would You Take A Covid Test
If you just had the symptons of a common cold?
Started with the sniffles and sneezes yesterday. This morning awoke to the same plus runney nose and sore throat. (No different from any other cold that I have had) and generally feel like carp.
Rang my son to say that I wouldn't be paying my weekly visit to see my granddauhter because I was ill in bed. His first response was to tell me to take a covid test.
Then my neighbor rang me to see if he could borrow my step ladders. Told him my symptoms and he asked if I could leave them in my porchway so he could pick them up and that I should have a covid test.
Thirdly, my mate rang and asked if I was at home as he and his 'lady friend' were planning a visit. Told him that I had a cold. Reaction....TAKE A COVID TEST! (and we'll have a meet up next week)
Since Covid, seems like everyone if terrified of a sneeze or a snuffle now. Its just a bloody cold fgs. And NO, I wouldnt want to even pass that on to anyone, but the obsession with Covid is surely now an anachronism?

What? Like jabs? Never had one and feel fine. If you want to stick unknown drugs into your arm feel free.
Face masks? If you want to breath your own carbon emmissions and make yourself ill, again feel free.
If you want to imprison yourself and have few visitors, carry on. I had as many friends around as i wanted and suffered no ill effects. And I visited my dying mum everyday why everyone else was hiding behind their settees. Again with no ill effects.
I carried on as normal. Going to work, using public transport, walking in the park, going shopping, having friends around, not letting strangers stick needles in my arm. You know, the usual stuff....
As I take methotrexate that suppresses my natural immunity I would test at the first vague symptoms as I would need to get appropriate meds from my gp. I also have friends with medical conditions that mean covid might be a more serious issue for them if they got it. Apart from that I would just carry on as normal.
Because I'm vulnerable I'm telling unwell people to stay away because there seems to be a lot of it about. I won't be having jabs this winter unless offered the Pfizer one. The other jabs now have shark oil added as an adjuvant and i'm allergic to it. Since 2017 its been added to the flu jabs for over 65s so no more flu jabs either for me.
