Sorry I have bwwn slow to get back to you, but there has been a minor mrdical problem at chez nous which is on going.
Perhaps i was a little hasty in shouting out you blood uric acid level as i have seen higher and it is still high and shouldn't be ignored as kidney stones and or gout may be down the road.
See yourGP
Lol you didn't shout you old goat (still lurve you)
I have a telephone consultation on friday - they offered me a face to face but I am unavailable.
I don't have any pain and I remember by dad getting gout and he was in awful pain. Is there anything I can do to bring it down without medication - honestly the last thing I need is more medication
Thanks sweetie
Hi Helen. Be aware that blood tests can be affected by some medications. I spent four days in fear when I was rushed through more blood tests after my annual check one year. Then had to have a liver scan and told me I might have to have aliver biopsy. My liver scan showed nothing wrong. I had just been persuaded to take statins a month or two before. I read the possible side effects that warned that they could mess up blood tests for liver function. Stopped taking them for just a short time as suggested. Another blood test and liver function absolutely fine. Usually GPS adviseva second test because blood tests can fail.
