Ive posted before about not owning a tv.

(A bit like vegans always have to let you know that they are vegans the minute you meet them, I know..)

But my sister and her new BF paid a visit a couple of days ago and he was like "where's your TV"?

Just what the hell is it that people can't comprehend that NOT owning a TV was the norm just a few decades ago?

I watch much more intersing stuff on you tube than the latest storyline on eastenders or whatever.

Honestly dont get the idea that i need a TV.

I occasionally miss a good movie here and there and the occasional drama (I would have liked to have seen the recently aired "The Reckoning") but my life is no less different because I havn't.

I wouldnt have a TV in my home again.

Why would I when Ive got plenty of entertainment here on AB?

Not having a TV but using YouTube makes it easy to find stuff one agrees with thereby reinforcing ones feeling of superiority over perfectly normal folk.

Or so it seems.

Crikey, I'm surprised our resident Wolfie Smith (aka Youngmafbog) hasn't turned up to tell us, yet again, that he's a real rebel because he doesn't have a TV or a license. Power to the peoplllllle!

Maybe he's overdone the tooting.

Popular on the front tho.

When I was growing up, some people regarded TV as plebeian, and themselves as superior for not having one.

I have a lifelong passion for TV, if I'm home I watch something every day, almost all recorded, I haven't seen an advert in decades.

I appreciate that some people find interest and amusement elsewhere, but I fully expect to spend my last days watching and enjoying TV.

Tv and internet , best of both worlds .

If you spend time looking at your phone ( as you are doing as you read this ) you're just looking at a smaller screen.

Give up looking at screens altogether and I might be impressed
