Until tomorrows click and collect so we're having a quiche from the freezer, some microwaved red onions I unearthed from the veg basket and which appear to be edible, and a tin of sweetcorn.

What about you, I bet your evening meal is better than ours...πŸ§…πŸŒ½πŸ•πŸ˜•

Lottie, that recipe looks just my cup of tea, I love sweet potatoes.

Tilly, I just quarter the onions and put them in a bowl with a little water and zap them till they're tender, maybe about 6 or more minutes, just keep trying them till they're soft and tender. They lose the strong onion taste and turn sweet, I like a bit of salt on them.

Ginge, the quiche was very nice actually, it was the lack of accompaniments I struggled with...fresh veg particularly. It was an m&s quiche which I popped in the oven for 20 minutes once it was defrosted.

I used to make shepherds pie with a mashed cauliflower topping with grated cheese in it, must give it another go, it was v tasty.

Well, everyone's meal sounds really nice, we quite enjoyed ours, tomorrow will be a proper dinner with lots and lots and lots of veg πŸ₯¦πŸ«›πŸ₯¬πŸ₯•and gravyπŸ˜‹

There's a very cheesy, very oniony crustless quiche/ frittata in the airfryer. Will roast some cherry tomatoes to go with it.

Ps...waves to choux. Was wondering about you this morning as I'd not seen you in a while.

I done a roast chicken dinner last, because OH had football ( ref) he ate out in club last night, so he's having his tonight. Trouble is, I don't know what I'm having..

David small, I'm sorry you feel like toast πŸ˜‘ I do hope you feel a bit better soon .

Very kind anneasquith. I'm fine thank you. We all get bad days. I was caught in a flooded road, as were others on the Isle of Wight.

all well.

I answered toosoon!  Part-way from  cookingsausages and chips there was a loud BEEPand everything bar the lights went off!

Neighbour, retired electrician, got everything back on except for hob and oven!   I shall petition the Pope for cannonisation for him shortly.

So a motley experiment of toaster, v.small airfryer & 22-yr-old microwave with all instructions rubbed off through use eventually resulted in an edible meal, I think.

Check Body and Soul tomorrow for any posts from me re. food poisoning!
