Is there any such thing as a 'sweet' red wine? I only like very sweet white wine (hate dry) and fancied trying a sweet red if it exists?

Also worth trying is Blossom Hills White Zinfandel....it's a rose, tastes of berries, delish! Great in the warm weather cos you can chill it. And NO, I don't work for Blossom Hill.
Look for 'Mavrodaphne' wine - it is stocked in all the major supermarkets, has a black label and comes from Greece. Its a delightful very sweet red wine and very reasonably priced.
Newer wine drinkers do like sweeter wines and large brands, such as Blossom Hill, are made less dry than you'd expect, but they are still not a sweet wine as requested by Casey.
Another sweet red wine is Port. There are other sweet red wines, but the two mentioned are widely available.

there are loads of sweet red wines to choose from, the problem is that red wine is not sold as sweet to dry but through body. your best bet is to read the description; go for fruity light to medium bodied wines which have not been oaked; Many of the australian wines such as jakobs (spell?) creek taste like they have added suger but can be quite strong in alcohol (14%)a young french or spanish wine will likely be fruity but lighter.
