Asma Al-Assad Cannot Return To The Uk
News2 mins ago
She lives about an hour half away. She got the start of a tooth implant done in Budapest some months ago. Final work was to be finished october. I called her last night to see how final implant went so as I can't hear her too well but she tells me she got out of hospital yesterday so I thought it was an infection of the implant. My god 2 weeks ago was walking her dog who accidently pulled her off her feet and she broke her hip. She was hospital 6 bus stops away from where I live from me. She can't remember my landline sent me email my email is broke so I didn't get it. I'm devastated so want to send her a gift. No flowers. Any ideas please. She is a very very fit lady. Thanks. She can't get back to Budapest for final. My friend is still working away at 68 as she is so fit

Just over 5 weeks ago my friend and next-door neighbour tripped at church and broke her hip. She's still in hospital (lovely private room in a small community hospital) but still can't even make it to the en-suite bathroom on her own, let alone bathe herself etc.
Her house has been assessed by occupational health and she's meant to be coming home for a 10-day 'trial period' with someone coming each morning and evening to help with personal care. I just cannot see her managing, as she does not have the motivation to do her exercises etc., and I think it's motivation that's the most important thing with something like this.
As your friend is 68 (my friend is 85) she may well have the background fitness and motivation that she needs to recover. I hope so, and wish her well.
