Do Police Stations Still Accept Lost Property?
I found a sum of money in the city centre this morning. It wasn't a fortune but it might mean a lot to whoever lost it.
I'll hand it into the police station if they'll accept it.

They told me to keep it for I think it was 6 weeks and if anyone phoned them about it they would give them my number. If nobody phoned within 6 weeks then it was mine. Nobody phoned.
You'll be lucky to find a call in police station these days. Most are not open to public and just seem to be for staff and car parks for police vehcles in Norfolk. All enquiries are handled by a central police ststion call centre. You can't hand in lost property you just have to phone, just as ladynirder says, they tell you to hang on to it for 6 weeks and it's yours if not claimed.
