So, today my phone started glitching out and not responding (posting this from PC) and is still turned off to see if that does anything. Do you think it's worth investing in a new one?

I've had my phone for just over 3 years if that helps

It should last more than three years.

What exactly happens and what are you doing when it happens?

I find taking a phone back to factory settings gives it a new lease of life.  A bit of a faff but it scrubs all the clutter, rubbish and glitches that are clogging it up.

Make sure you understand what it involves before doing it, though

It wipes everything and you have to set it up again as if it is a new phone

Just restarting it should clearmost glitches. Check if needs to run any software updates.

Chelle is right, a restart is probably all it needed.

If you can't repair it, or it costs more than 200, I would better buy a new one, it's worth to buy a new phone after 3 years, it already depends what you are looking for.

Thanks everyone, I had it turned off for a while and recently turned it on and it seems to have fixed itself

Good.  Sometimes there is just too much going on in the background when the phone hasn't been turned off for a while
