Bank Account Cheques For Pip Claimants
How it Works0 min ago
As it's Diwali, a coworker very kindly brought in some biscuits. She’s very pushy, so I gratefully took a few, but decided to take them home (I have to watch what I eat as my doctor told me my cholesterol is too high). My male colleague then asked me, "Why aren't you eating the biscuits? Don’t worry you won’t put on any weight". Well, I have never discussed my body shape with him or my eating habits – ever. I told him, "It's nothing to do with you. Don’t keep questioning me". He's only been in his job 6 weeks and already has made two judgements about my body shape; he said something last week. I don’t know him from Adam!
Should I now raise this with my supervisor or just leave it until it happens next time (which I hope it won’t)? He is a little quieter with me now.
Men tend to speak before switching their brain on. It was just a chatty comment that you should have laughed off or said something witty in reply.
I have had comments about my size and the shape of my boobs (a new bra) from workmates. I never take offence and usually laugh at the comment - because it is true.
Learn to relax and chill out - if you are getting upset at meaningless comments it will make each working day longer for you and the person involved.
