USA obviously not serious about F1 racing - race cars have been damaged by hitting loose manhole covers on the Las Vegas street circuit.

As I understand Max said yesterday, in USA F1's not a sport, it's a show.

TBF it's not a sport outside of USA either at the moment.

good opportunity to rehearse Bernouilli's theorem. Not taken up by any tv channel - BUT they DID say they were being sucked out.

fer - hoolie's theorem, who da heck's he? ( fer hoolie's sake?) = quip from one of the usual suspects

Pressure + velocity of wind is always constant ( said Bernoulli) and so if the car goes over sewer lid, wind vel goes up, so pessure goes down

and hey presto   - the lid lifts !

this is a bit more poncey - ynni dont read for chrissakes, your head will go like that fellow in "Scanners"

We've given up with it now.  You are right TTT it's not a sport anywhere now.

It doesn't seem fair that Carlos Sainz has been given a ten-place grid penalty for having to replace his battery that was damaged in the incident.

Except for that brief moment last time out when Fernando took another podium.

I'm sure this happened years ago where covers had been tack welded and it proved to be not enough.

Cue portable devices on track and proper welding.

They should ask Monaco - they know what to do to turn streets into a track.

No, it's not a sport. The only "racing" we ever see in a GP is "the fight for 10th/11th place" or something. Very dull.
