Microphone, Amp, Kit, Etc For A Singer In Band?

Hello, all!

I am singer in a covers band. So far the line up is a bassists and guitarist, both using amps. Soon to grow to a drummer and keyboardist too - hopefully.

I know I need to get some kit so we can look at gigging, but have no idea what to buy!

I would love a list of what I definitely need, along with some products recommendations.

I am the lead singer, I'm female, I have a lowish soulful voice with a natural vibrato. We play a mix of pop and rock.

I have a baby on the way, so definitely have a small-ish budget - sorry to challenge you!

Does a singer need more than a microphone ? Maybe a mixer unit too, amp & speakers. Sounds like your other group members are providing the kit they need.
