Use one of those large plastic dishes you have bought something in the supermarket in, like meat or fish, scoop them up with a garden trowel, and dump the whole dish in the garden of one of the neighbours who you don't like .. as far away as possible without being seen, preferably under cover of darkness. They won't find their way back. I have scooped up 50 on a good night, and next morning the dish is empty.
Slugs are everywhere, especially as it is still quite warm and damp. It's a shame if they munching their way through any plants etc you have on the grave. Go armed with a pot of salt when you tend the grave, pour it over the little blighters and they will shrivel up and die before your very eyes. Then just shovel them up and bung them in the cemetery compost heap/dead flower bin. You can get boxes of crushed seashell to put around the area and round any plants..if you have a pot plant of any kind on the grave smear vaseline around the edge of the pot or put copper tape round it.They won't cross this ...they get a shock from the tape and they can't get a grip on grease.
