I don't have an electric car and object to paying high prices for electricity to a company that sells the same electricity very cheaply to charge electric cars.

Any suppliers that don't offer this?

The chances of any electricity supplier choosing to miss out n the fastest-growing sector of the market must, I feel sure, be absolutely zero!

Energy providers have been offering cut-price overnight electricity for many decades (via 'Economy 7').  EV tariffs are simply an extension of that policy.

Buen, I had Economy 7 for years until it was no longer beneficial.  That at least was of benefit to any householder that wanted it.

^so is the EV tariff...beneficial to any householder that wants it, surely?

Question Author

No, it is beneficial to car owners.

Car owners are householders too.

No. it is beneficial to electric vehicle owners.

In the same way that Economy 7 was beneficial to (for example) people with night-storage heating. It didn't benefit those who couldn't use it.

Question Author

Anyone with electricity could install storage heaters to heat their homes.

Yes, and anyone can choose an electric vehicle.

You've obviously got a "thing" about this subject, which I will leave you to argue withis somebody else.

"Any suppliers that don't offer this?"

I suggest you're looking at this the wrong way round. Just choose the best tariff for you as a non EV user rather than worrying out how much providers charge for EVs.
