Suicide By Drowning
First Nicola Bulley at the beginning of the year, now Gaynor Lord, at the end of the year, what makes someone just walk into a river and drown, do they just keep walking in the water until its so deep, that it's either sink or swim, very sad in both cases, but wouldn't it be a slow way to die.

Well considering they found clothes, jewllery, mobile glasses and two rings in different places in the park and they are not looking for a third party not really presumtuous. A bit early maybe.
Fruitsalad, acute depression is a terrible thing, dont know if that was the cause here and not my place to know but it does drive people to suicide.
I had swam in the sea hundreds of times with no problems at all - I never went out of my depth.
I didn't think think twice when I had the opportunity to dive in to the middle of the ocean from a boat. I went down and down, didn't know which way was up. Dreadful panic, bursting lungs, never been so frightened in my life. I can't imagine drowning being a peaceful death but if the experts say it is...
barry1010, used to do the same thing, you have an initial burst in speed, fast swim then dive, i remember going deep htne doing a turn looking up, you get disorientated then panic = energy gone..it's just luck i came up in a erm straight line, and i would not call it a peaceful death, swim to far from the shore and not have enough energy for the return....fear depth cold sets in..
Nicola B fell in and cdnt get out before her core temp sank to sort of zero. Not a good example, because embarassing family details were released ( poss head) - but so what really?
and the crayzies ( I mean crazier than the standard ABer so that is Prrrrrretty Crrrrrazy - judge judy bulgy eyes look ) kept us amused for a week by posting that she -- - - was hiding in the chucrhc tower.
and the second sad case - reminded me of our own local sad case, where it began with the fella walking out of the door....
I was surprised how many details the article got wrong. the wife DID know, it was a repeat affair, the fella tried to sell the wifes love letters....they were dumped in a car park after he failed to get £100 000 for them, oh god and so on.
well in the Titanic 1912 they swam around for a few minutes, their body temp went below X, and they let out a great yell - you will note this is not drowning.
Virginia Wolff wandered around the ruins of her bombed house ( Tavistock Sq) went down to Sussex , weighted her pockets with stone, and drowned herself in the Ouse 1941
Jesus this is a bit gruesome you know....
Gaynor left work early at 2:45pm and spent some time walking around Norwich before heading to the park. The last sighting was 4pm when she was seen sitting on the grass in a yoga pose. Personally I think she probably found some peace and tranquility there before intensionally taking herself into the water. Maybe it feels like the least gruesome method?
