I haven't seen anything on this thread that breaks Site Rules
"17. Any instances of members recommending other members to download an AdBlock for use on The AnswerBank will be removed"
For clarification . . .
AB used to show ads to members who were logged in. Therefore, in order to protect AB's revenue, suggestions for using ad blockers were banned. At the moment though, there are no ads on AB to be blocked, meaning that there shouldn't really be a problem with posts about ad blockers.
I use Slimjet as my browser, which comes with a built-in ad blocker enabled by default: https:/
As a bit of an aside, anyone who gets fed up of all the ads on YouTube might care to try using FadBlock, which works on Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers, such as Slimjet) and Firefox. It doesn't actually block the ads but it makes them play so fast that they disappear in just a fraction of a second, so that they're hardly noticeable at all.
