very moving statement from esther ghey and she is of course right to extend compassion to the families of boy x and girl y... a vital and important gesture which many of us would find difficult to make.

She did her best to extend sympathy to them but their lack of any kind of remorse was a limiting factor to that. They are clearly very nasty disturbed individuals and I don't think they'll ever be safe to release.

As bednobs said, they actually wrote a list.  That shows that the crime premeditated and they were both evil and stupid.

I would hope to be able to find it in my heart to offer compassion to the families of the murderers, but I know I would find it really hard to find any for the criminals themselves.

This lady will hopefully find some comfort in the absence of hatred which could devour her from the inside - my heart goes out to her and her husband at this terrible time.
