Stained teeth!!

Even though I don't drink or smoke or drink coffee, I have noticed my front teeth getting quite stained. I always use whitening toothpaste, but it's not helping. Does anyone know how I can sort this-, do those kits work, and if so, how much are they!? Can you have stains removed at the dentist or is that horrendously expensive? thanks!

I have four teeth at the bottom which have lost some their sparkle and I enquired from my dentist what I could do, he suggested that he could make little plastic caps that would stick on, or go for the works and have them capped completely.    I shall probably go for the latter when I have saved up enough.    I think the kits can be a bit hit and miss and I should imagine if the dentist did them for you as with everything else in this world they would be horrendously expensive.   Probably they are not as bad as you think, I have been told by my family I am making a fuss about nothing.    Hope you sort something out to suit you. Thanks Ember. I am always a bit worried about capping all of them, as I think you can lose the character of your teeth, and end up with "tombstones" like a lot of American stars choose to have. I am gonna try pearl drops and have a word with my dentist..!

Try using a philips sonicare toothbrush.....it takes a bit of getting used to but ifound it to be fantastic at removing stains....it also has a built in timer so it lasts for the recommended brushing time.Boots sell them.Good luck

My dentist salt-blasted my teeth to clean them. Cost around �40, but I (or atleat my mouth) looked like Tom Cruise!

I paid �750 to have mine professionaly whitened. You can get it done in Toni&Guy. But don't cry when you see the price because it's not that bad because you get the treatment, then 2 follow ups and a home kit to do yourself. They never made my teeth any whiter than they were to begin with, but they took the yellow off. My teeth are naturally quite white so I could sooo see the difference. Everyone was commenting on them. Yay! I had to save up for like a year tho!

did you know that teeth are actually naturally yellowish? stay away from home kits as they can weaken the enamel and cause muchos problems down the line.

i have braces right now...and i feel that my teeth are yellow, and i dont smoke or drink coffee either. I do have friends who use the kits and it works great...but in order for ur teeth to stay their whitest white, you have to keep using the product...Where i live its about 500$ to get ur teeth whitened...and like the pheepster said..u get a home kit and 2 follow ups. But it last for a long time...apposed to shelling out 50-70 bucks every 6 months...in the end..getting them professionally done pays off!

strawberries r v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v. gd for whitning teeth - its got a specialy acid tht gets rid of daily food staines. A toothpaste i wud recommend is arm and hammer extra whitning and after brushing your teeth (with any toothpaste) put sum baking soda on ur tooth brush tastes yukky but works. hope this helps!! xx
