Marijuana Smell

Last year the house next door was brought by a man who took ages to do it up, he has now let it out to a mother and two grown up daughters. All day everyday the smell of weed / marijuana is constantly wafted over the fence and through the windows. I work from home and it is really start to grate.

They don’t work have visitors round the clock all smoking this stuff, and arguing.

What can I do? as they are far from approachable and I do not know the owners name or number.

ring the police and I guarantee they wont give a damn.

( because they are not after the grass smokers but the dealers) - we dont bother as it is such a waste of time.

How do you know what marijuana smells like?
Why does marijuana smell upset you? Suppose it was curry, or chinese cooking, or something not to your taste?
Sometimes we just have to put up with odd neighbours. Even smelly ones.

JBW: What is it that makes you worried? I doubt that marijuana smoke from next door would affect you apart from you disliking the smell.

You'd have to put up with it.

But cannabis is a Class B drug and possession of it carries a maximum penalty of five years custody. The fact that the police have all but decriminalised possession for personal use does not alter that.

Apart from that it has an odour that only somebody with either no sense of smell or no sense at all would willingly subject themselves to. There's no reason why the smell of their burning a substance that is illegal to possess should be inflicted on anybody else and they don't really need a reason to object.

i did ask this question previously but I was apprehensive what to do and I still am tbh.

it was bad in the summer but seems worse now - I don't know why? Maybe because they are in with the window open and I am the same - perhaps the summer they were in the garden and it went away quicker.

i have reported to the police anonymously- and will wait to see what happens- they smell is awful and is ruining everything we are both sad but let's see.
