Trouble is Pasta I have no pavements or hard surfaces I can get out onto where I can walk with my  Rollator.  It would involve a car ride into a village or towns and I want so badly to walk in fields and woods.

In bloody agony after yesterday's failed twitch.... I just can't do the walking then standing around like I used to... Wouldn't have minded if I had seen the birds but to put so much effort in and still miss them!!! 

Have you ever considered an off road mobility scooter?   Friend had one while she was waiting for knee and spinal ops and we went all over the place, through mud, round nature reserves, and it even coped with steep gradients  You could hire one to see if it works for you.

I think rowan's idea of a mobility scooter is brilliant. You could be one of those mad women running over all in your path 😉😂...splattering mud along the way.

Normal ones are boring, the off roaders are a whole new ball game and the best  have great shock absorbers so you don't get bounced and jarred on rough ground.

Oh I have seen the off roaders, a program I watched did a trial of them.

I may have to resort to one if  want to keep birding, but they don't allow them on public transport so for me they would only allow better access to local parks

Thsnks for you xuggestions  I ave a good scooter but they don't hold me in place.  As one doc suggested I need a suit of armour.  The off road scooters still jolt you over rough ground.  The other problem is I would have to transport it and we would need a specialised vehicle and ramp. I wouldn't use it on our road which is very busy at times.  There are very good specialised electric wheelchairs at a very high price that you can strap yourself in,I find going out in the car difficult now to sit in for very long because all my joints are affected.

 I had an appointment with back surgeon a couple of weeks ago who suggests walking around in the shallow end of a swimming pool but not doing any other exercise in water, or swimming! His suggestion is that it would improve my leg muscle tone and it wouldn't matter if I fell because it wouldn't hurt!  He admits there is really nothing he can do.  None of my joints are stable now and my back is a complete disaster.  I get around okish indoors and I do stairs like a  monkey! 

The good things is I have an indoor rollator which helps and a super duper supportive outdoor rollator which can be used on roughish pathways but only on wide paths, and definitely not what we have around us.  we've 4' drainage ditches right round the house  but are ducted under the drive.

My spine is twisted to the right and I have a hump and scoliosisis, I have two spinal compression fractures and a suspected third.   My lower spine has stenosis which affects  my legs and I have one new shoulder and the other one now has the same problems. Another MRI scan this month

i'm a  mess! And it's all down to EDS hypermobility, even the internal problems I have

Sepsis November 2022 has caused other ongoing  problems. Hence severe anxiety and depression and panic attacks.
