Did anyone watch the first of four episodes last night.

I was left seething before  the first commercial break. What an awful corrupt evil organisation the Post Office hierarchy is.Unfortunately a law unto itself with all the unlawful prosecutions they bought against several hundred innocent sub- postmasters/mistresses. The P.O. lied their teeth out by telling the victims that they were the 'Only' ones who had reported a fault with their Horizon computing system where as it was happening over the UK. These were,in fact,'Phantom discrepancies in the acounts due to a faulty system yet the victims were threatened and imprisoned if they failed to make good the non-existent shortfall with their own money. It makes you want to weep. I will probably binge watch the next three episodes tonight. Toby Jones plays a good part alongside 'Haley' from Corrie.

I work on a major bank's mainframe custody system and when we get an anomoly we analyse, debug, repeat the error in test, report fix test again. 99% of the time it's software or incomplete data that's the problem. I just cannot conceive of the arrogance that must have prevailed in the PO, shocking.

This piece in the Daily Mail, which was the first mewspaper to take on their case against the PO, makes interesting, if infuriating, reading.

I hope Private Eye gets a mention, as they covered this awful miscarriage of justice way before any of the national newspapers, and kept on shining a light on it.

High time the vile Vennells (ordained as a priest in the Church of England in 2006) got her come-uppance; I hope it's soon.

Bingewatching now. Brilliant, but so so sad  a dreadful situation that has ruined or ended lives.

I knew the PO were incompetent and liars, I hadnt realised how malevolent as an organisation they were.

I think there will be added impetus for Paula Vennel to have some sort of come uppance

Private Eye does get a quick mention near the beginning brainiac.

I really enjoyed it I think it's very well done.

It's certainly not binge AA.

I watched it last night and today - superb in every way.   Just goes to show what a 'little man' can achieve with tenacity, energy and lucky breaks.  The man deserves recognition.

Mr Bates turned down an honour which was to be bestowed on him. As a man of integrity and modesty I reckon he wouldn't want to touch an honour whilst the awful ex boss of the P.O. retains her CBE. Incidentally this humble man's proffered order was lower than her CBE to rub salt in the wounds.

I hope that all of you have signed the online petition.
