^^^ I assume, Hoppy, that Fender62's friend will be returning to the UK. I've never known it to be any cheaper to use a UK duty free store on the outbound trip than to use an overseas one on the return journey. Also, there can potentially be problems with UK customs if it can't be shown that the goods were purchased outside of the UK.
