Did you enjoy the evening of Maria Callas on BBC4 tonight? We didn't watch it all but did watch the film which had also been shown a couple of years ago. What a voice but also what a tragic life: for all she was lauded she didn't really find true love and happiness.

Toorak, so sorry I've only just seen this. I'll be the one bumping this up now.
No I didn't see the Maria Callas programme because I can't stand her. For me she has no tonal change at all and that's just one thing. When you listen to the best singing today, like Netrebko, Wow, no contest. Just played it. Lovely to go to bed on;-))
