Lots of scientists dont believe in all that religion stuff, so how do they explain jesus and why so many people would lie about the stuff he did.

You say people lie about it. Which people?
Remember whatever witnesses there were would have died 2000 years ago.
People are now just relying on a book, written by a multitude of unknown people, edited and modified over the millenia by many different religious leaders to conform to the beliefs and politics of their time and their own personal agendas.
I find it utterly absurd that people take this book as anything even approaching some kind of truth.

I find it absurd that people nowadays believe it to be an accurate record of what amounts to "stories" which have been translated over the centuries. yes the bible contains an idyllic way to live your life and can teach you some good manners & morals. In the last 2000 years people still cannot prove exactly how we were put here - there's no proof a big bloke with a beard clicked his fingers and there we were in 7 days. I think we would be better off believing Goldilocks and the three bears as whatever we believe - its all a very tall tale !
