I need to know the function of

1. Bolus
2 Epiglottis
3. Salivary Gland
4. Slaviary Duct

2. the epiglottis is a flap over the glottis, which is the opening of the larynx , or entrance to the windpipe. This flap stops food & drink going into the windpipe.
3. The salivary gland secretes saliva into the mouth. Saliva softens food and begins the process of digestion.

4. salivary duct is the channel down which saliva flows - from the gland into the mouth.

The bolus is the name given to the ball of food that results from the initial action of the saliva and the mechanical action of chewing. When it passes into the back of the mouth, more particularly the pharynx, it triggers the involuntary swallowing reflex that prevents the food entering the lungs.
