There is no contradiction in what is being said.

Audrey was married to a member of the FH family, which makes her a FH as well.

Her connection is by marriage, so if she speaks of the FH family, she is speaking of her family, because she married into it.

Her maiden name is not relevant.

Ignore that. Just re-read it.

I think there were two 'f's in fforbes.

Yeah but clearly the registrar must've had a stutter and wrote 'ff' instead of 'F'. (We know because proper nouns don't start with a lower case letter.)

A few English names are written with two lowercase "f"s: ffrench, ffoulkes, etc. And according to Wiktionary (e.g. ffrench ) it is from the medieval ages.10 Aug 2019

You're wwelcome. :)

There are 2 fs in Fforbes but no f in cod (well that's what the fishmonger said).

They probably hadn't formed the rules in medieval times.

fformed, shurely. 🤣

Maybe she's Welsh, so needs the double f to make an F sound

Hello, yansee. Hope you continue to enjoy better health now.
Audrey was the type to readily take on all possible advantages of her first marriage, especially the royal-like 'We' :)
