awee (Scottish for over)

Thank you.

You're welcome.

I assumed awee was a scots version of away which could mean over. But googling it gives a different definition, i.e. a little while.  The cryptic wordplay however seems to support awee.

I still cannot solve the unclued 23d which I assume is the name of a lake. I have g?i?ai?e.

Sorry, can't help.

36 Is Owre, a Scottish word for 'over'.  Ore is the seaweed, the W comes from 'with'.

Solidair, your 23 D will have changed now. The lower unclued entries aren't lakes, they match  the entry at 11 A.

Thanks for the correction neveracrossword.

Apologies to solidair123 for inadvertently misleading you as I stumbled around in word-play.

Thanks, Canary42.
