Because, apart from space considerations, either is capable of killing an adult or a child with very little effort.
Why then, do some people find it acceptable to take a species of dog into their homes, to live with their famiies, when it possesses exactly those characteristics.
I am always banging on about idiots who claim their dog would 'never hurt a fly', but at least in the majority of cases, the worse they stand to get when they are proven wrong, is a nasty bite.
With these devil dogs, as we are incrasingly being told, a fatality is very much on the cards as an outcome of the day when 'soft as a brush' Fido suddenly decides to go for it.
it depends, tomus. You could map the demands for a Great Wall of Texas alongside the ones for an armada to block little boats in the Channel; or just note Boris endorsing Trump's re-election. I'm not going to make rash predictions, but I don't think it's right to just say "Oh, they're different from us".
Police dogs are trained to run after bad men, bring them down and to back off on command. They are a very effective asset.
But these Bullies have no such training and will continue to attack until they kill the opposition.
I had a nine stone Scooby Doo clone. He was a gentle giant but was very protective of me. He ran to my aid one night in a very remote area when I had problems with a drunk male. His size alone made the guy run away, thankfully I never found out if would have attacked the guy.
It isn't always the owners' fault.
My late cousin had a beautiful Alsatian dog many years ago, soft as a brush.
We went to visit once with our 3 children and one of them started making a fuss of the dog and rubbing it behind his ears, the dog bit her.
My cousin failed to mention that the dog had an ear infection!
Took her to A&E but she was fine, and it didn't put her off dogs as she has 2 dogs of her own now, Daschunds.
