How rare an event was it?
Extremely wouldn’t even do it justice.....more like one in a million.
One thing for sure, if there were more cyclists and less motorists on the road there’d be a lot less deaths and the population would be healthier.
Try and look at the big picture instead of the usual blinkered approach.
I too have had many ‘eff offs when remonstrating with drivers about their manner of driving in close proximity to me, but then a near-death experience does tend to irk me.....cyclists don’t put motorists in the same position, EVER!
Ever heard of a drunk cyclist killing a motorist or pedestrian mush? Ever heard of a cyclist dragging a motorist under their wheels and killing them?
not recently, but maybe just through luck. cyclists drink too, chill.

The student in the 3rd paragraph died when the pavement ran out and she rode straight out in front of a bus.
In the Castleton area of Rochdale, the council has wasted millions of pounds installing a cycle lane that some cyclists say is too slippy, and is rarely used. It has also resulted in a number of shops having to close due to lack of trade since the lanes were installed. The work isn't quite finished yet but it doesn't look as "idyllic" as this photo shows, far from it. In my opinion, this is a complete waste and mis-use of public money, for which someone should be accountable. If it had happened in Russia, they'd be dragged through the streets by the Bolsheviks. But hey, a cyclist can ride through - on the pavement, which they do, as the lanes are too slippy.
