At the end of the news they venture into the football world. Interviewing that very important manager. They all seem to look down at the desk and you can just see the konk ( nose) poking out from the baseball cap, pouring out their excuses for losing the match. You get... we didnt get much of the ball, we had many chances, we struggled at the end, with ten men, the ball just didnt come our way, we just didnt get the ball in the net, our best player just never got the ball, our goal keeper just wasn't on form, VAR just didnt go our way, the pitch was just not up to standard, the ref just didnt work with us, our best fullback had persoal problems at home, and couldnt play, but i can't go into that. The crowd was not on our side, it goes on and on just like me. Why dont they just say, we got beat by a better side?

No, I just turn if off if I've heard it.  Daily Covid news got on my nerves though.  I watched it to keep tabs on what was going on but I called BBC news at six 'Misery Hour'.
